Arthur-Hale Cemetery (aka: Point Pleasant)
Located on ExxonMobil property off Bayway Drive.

Cedar Bayou Baptist Cemetery (aka: Parker)
Located "behind" (E) the Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery across a little gully and near the bayou.

Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery
Located "behind" (E) the Cedar Bayou Masonic Lodge between Cedar Crest Cemetery and Cedar Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Quite a number of veterans are buried in this cemetery.
Cedar Bayou Methodist Cemetery
Located "behind" (E) and "beside" (S) the Cedar Bayou Methodist Church. A number of veterans are buried in this cemetery.
Gaillard Cemetery (aka: Evergreen Plantation)
Located in "the oil patch" 2/10's of a mile WSW of the west end of Evergreen [aka: Causeway] Road.) It is surrounded by a 4 foot high cement wall with no entrance. It is the final resting place of a single veteran, Thomas B. Gaillard, a Confederate infantryman.

Hill of Rest Cemetery (aka: Wiggins)
Located across Market Street (N) from Robert E. Lee
High School. It is the final resting place of a single veteran, David Wiggins.

Magnolia Cemetery (aka: Old Goose Creek)

Located near the intersection of 4th & Fayle. Neglected for many years, this cemetery has recently received some badly-needed attention in an effort spear-headed by Mrs. Gary Anderson.

Morgan Cemetery


Located near the central edge (N) of the Pinehurst I subdivision (east of the intersection of Cottonwood & Forest Hollow). It is the final resting place of a single veteran, Dr. Asa Morgan, who served as a surgeon in the Union army.

Osgood Cemetery

Located beside the road off of Fox Drive. James Osgood, who served in the Confederate Navy, is
the sole CW veteran buried in this small cemetery.

Note . . .

The Wooster Cemetery has been under water now, for several decades, a victim of subsidence. A marker, but not the remains, for a veteran interred in the Wooster Cemetery, Quincy Adams Wooster, can be found in the Cedar Crest Cemetery. Cedar Crest is located beside (north) the Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery. A survey of Wooster Cemetery is online at:

The Bayland Orphanage Cemetery, located in what is now known as Bayland Park, does not hold the remains of any Civil War veterans, but it is the resting place for the remains of at least eight orphaned children of Confederate veterans. This cemetery was either covered by water or obliterated several decades ago. For more information on this orphanage see:
