whose will?

"Good, solid faith does not refer all things to the will of God. . . . Saying that 'nothing is done without God's assent' is as if we did not acknowledge that some things lie within our own power. And if we contend that nothing is done by us without the will of God, then every sin will be excused . . . Accordingly, we ought not to refer to the Lord's will those things that are clearly done by our own choice." - Tertullian, about 200 A.D.
